I have learned a lot in this course. I will be practicing the writing of Asset Information Standards by just following the step by step instructions taught in Unit 6. If you plan to implement a CMMS/ EAM system, I will strongly advise you to take this course first you will be saving a lot of money down the road.

As an engineer and a facility manager, this course was a reference point as it provided me the baseline principles of physical asset management in an easy to remember sequence. Will certainly defer to it from time to time for refresher knowledge in my asset management learning experience.

The walkthrough of the progression of the history of Value-Based Decision (VBD) Making was spot on from early approaches to what we are doing today in asset management. The depth of comprehensive public works A/E projects have always been stakeholder centric but had shortfalls in analysis of both asset performance and maintenance to build and operate better for future design or rehabilitation. New design thinking (UX) concepts also seem overlap into VBD. This value progression presented a great melding of these approaches in a concise way and in the context of ISO guidelines.

I found the AM101 a very engaging self pace course that gave me the fundamentals of learning at my own self pace. It was structured in a way that the course tested your knowledge base right from the beginning to the end. It provided me an excellent opportunity to ask further questions and to easily navigate back and forth the course material to keep me very interested in how the governance and concepts of good AM can really add stakeholder value. The AM101 course really made me realize how important this business management system is to the future strategic direction of our organization.
